General body meeting, January 2014.

Congratulations, all the members! South Punjab women chamber of commerce and industry, now has its own separate blog to cover all the events and happenings of this group of determined female entrepreneurs, who are working day and night, for the benefit and uplift of the economic state of the entire society.


And we begin with, providing you an update about the recent general body meeting of the members of SPWCCI, which took place on 18th January 2014, at the residence of the new president, Mrs. Fatima Leghari Khokar.


Agenda of the meeting:
To provide an information to all the members of SPWCCI about ''Prime Minister's Youth Loan scheme''.



Miss Mobena Tariq, from First Women's Bank and Miss Alina Fayyaz Durrani, regional business coordinator from SMEDA were present at the occassion to brief, all the members of SPWCCI about the details of the latest Prime Minister's Youth Business Loan for young entrepreneurs. Which is meant for people, between the age group of 21 to 45 years.

It was informed that this small business loan is designed to provide subsidised financing of 8.0% mark up per annum, with tenure upto 8 years, with first year grace period. The represntatives of the above mentioned organizations, also distributed free forms for acquiring loans, to SPWCCI members.

Later some important announcements were carried out by the president, Mrs. Fatima Leghari Khokar, about the working of committees and sub committees of the chamber.

Another important news, that SPWCCI president shared was the collaboration of APWA Multan, with SPWCCI. The MOU has been signed between the two organiztions, which will provide better opportunities to help and support eachother.

It was also declared that Masooma Sibtain, the former president of SPWCCI is now appointed, the official spokesperson of the chamber. Hopes were expressed that she will carry on her new assignment with full dedication and best of her abilities, as she has always done. 

At the end a formal hi tea, was hosted by the president. And the meeting, officially came to an end.
