A workshop for SPWCCI members by Masooma Sibtain & Fariha Munir Shah.

Masooma Sibtain conducting the workshop.

SPWCCI is an organization which strives hard to educate its members on constant basis. Therefore, different kinds of workshops are arranged regularly, to keep all the precious members, well informed, updated and enlightened about the challenges of entrepreneurship, as well as the important task of running the chamber successfully.

It is good fortune of SPWCCI that it is supported by an extremely ditinguished organization, called CIPE, Center for International Private Enterprise, a name held in great reverence by all the chambers around the world. Members of different committees and also the secretariat staff of  SPWCCI are often invited to attend educational sessions by CIPE.

Mrs. Masooma Sibtain and Mrs. Fariha Munir Shah are few of the first members of SPWCCI who completed the Çapacity Bulding Training' by CIPE recently. And they are extremely enthusiastic about sharing the knowledge with other members, which they have thus acquired.

Therefore, they conducted a workshop in 'ladies club', Multan. On 18th January, 2014. The main agenda of the workshop was: 'Management and functioning of committees of the chamber'.

With the help of the slide share provided by CIPE, the ladies went on to describe the importance of 'secretariat' in a chamber. And the purpose of the formation of the committees and the role they play in the effective and smooth running of the chamber.

Fariha Munir Shah emphasized the importance of democracy within the chamber. So that all the members get equal representation and the chamber does not become personal property of a single family or a person. Masooma Sibtain  pointed out that the chamber is for the members and they should work actively and consider themselves 'voices of the chamber'.

At the completion of the workshop, questions and answers session took place. Members raised different points, they had noted during the workshop. They also suggested different ideas to further enhance and improve the working of the commmittees. And also admired the role that CIPE is playing, for the uplift and support of female chambers.

At the end, a tea was hosted for the distinguished members and the workshop came to an end
