SPWCCI members together with guests from Peshawar    Women Business Development Center Peshawar (WBDCP), as part of its business development initiatives, organizes exposure visits to larger markets. The main purpose of these visits is to establish linkages of women entrepreneurs with stake holders from other markets including; local business people, skilled craftsmen, raw material suppliers, whole sellers and retailers. Women Business Development Center Peshawar in collaboration with Pakistan Transition Initiative  organized a two week Business Exposure Visit for twenty Women Entrepreneurs to four cities of Punjab including Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan & Bahawalpur for linkage meetings, capacity building and market exposure. On 8th March 2014, inorder to mark, ''international women's day'', a special meeting was called by the patron in chief of SPWCCI, Mrs. Farrukh Mukhtar, at her residence.  Convener media committee  Fariha Munir Shah , President SPWCCI Fatima Leghari, senior vice president  Ambreen Abbass Khan , alongwith those members, who are going to participate in upcoming exhibition 'Wexnet' attended this meeting. The main agenda was to discuss the affiliation of SPWCCI with APWA. Sharing information about WEXNET exhibition and planning, how to go about it.  Mrs Fatima Leghari presided over the meeting, alongwith Mrs. Tahira Zaffar Sheikh, chairperson of APWA. CIPE  ,  (Center for International Private Enterprise) , is a non-profit affiliate of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and one of the four core institutes of the National Endowment for Democracy.  CIPE   provides management assistance, practical experience, and financial support to local organizations to strengthen their capacity to implement democratic and economic reforms. Recently,  CIPE  invited a select group of ladies from South Asian women chambers  to attend, a regional networking workshop, in Colombo, Sri Lanka. This network included pa rticipants from major and emerging chambers of commerce and business associations in Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Bhutan. She owns a 'Blue pottery' business, under the name of '' Çraft Galleria' '.   Her interest in Arts and Crafts is evident through her business, with special focus on heritage and culture. SPWCCI is an organization which strives hard to educate its members on constant basis.Therefore, different kinds of workshops are arranged regularly, to keep all the precious members, well informed, updated and enlightened about the challenges of entrepreneurship, as well as the important task of running the chamber successfully.   It is good fortune of  SPWCCI   that it is supported by an extremely ditinguished organization, called CIPE, Center for International Private Enterprise , a name held in great reverence by all the chambers around the world.
