Over the years, through hard word and dedication, women's chamber of commerce and industry Multan has emerged and been acknowledged as the best in Pakistan. This chamber is a great example of networking and co-operation on national and international level. Where members and administration of this chamber are successful entrepreneurs, they are also fully capable of running this platform, as a profitable business.

Although, WCCIM is a success story from the beginning but it reached higher strata, after its patronage was taken by Mrs. Farrukh Mukhtar. A lady who strongly believes in women empowerment and has always dreamt of empowering women of South Punjab on grass-root level. Through all her means, she is supporting, sponsoring, providing better chances, connecting all the members of this chamber to better opportunities on higher grounds.

Masooma Sibtain is also a star of this chamber. She remained with this chamber through the hard times. Brought it out of tumultuous waters and successfully anchored it, under supervision of the patron in chief of WCCIM. She served as president of WCCIM and currently she holds the responsibilities of being spokesperson of this chamber. Her capabilities are well known, at national and international level. As an acknowledgement for Masooma Sibtain's efforts, her name was suggested for the vice-president of FPCCI elections. United Business Group welcomed her as its own candidate and showered its support by campaigning for her around the country. And its UBG members also visited Multan, the city of saints as part of that campaigning.

The patron in chief of WCCIM, Mrs. Farrukh Mukhtar graciously extended her hospitality and invited all the visiting UBG members, alongwith executive members of WCCIM and honourable members of Multan chamber of commerce and industry to a magnificent luncheon at her residence on 4th December. It turned out to be a spectacular formal event. With stage, speeches and award ceremony. UBG chairman Mr. Iftikhar Ali Malik, patron in chief Mr. S.M. Munir, Mr. S.M. Naseer. UBG candidate for president Mr. Zubair A. Tufail, Ms. Samina Fazil (women's chamber Islamabad), Ms. Tahira Naseem. Representatives of Women's chamber Mardan,  women's chamber Karachi East, Handicrafts association of Pakistan and many other chambers and association reached there to show solidarity and support for Masooma Sibtain.

From Multan chamber, patron in chief Mr.Tanveer A. Sheikh, president Khwaja Jalal Rumi, Mr. Fawad Mukhtar Sheikh, Mr. Faisal Mukhtar, Mr. Fazal Mukhtar, Khwaja Usman and others were present. From WCCIM, president Mrs. Naseem Raheem, Farah Saqib, Farrah Faisal, Fatima Fazal, executive member Fariha Munir Shah, vice president WCCIM Filza Akbar, former president Mrs. Razia Shah, former president Humera Batool, former president Mrs. Zahra Khitran, Ambreen Khan senior vice president, Seerat Fatima former vice president, Khshnood Naeem, Samina Maqar, Rehana Kausar and Novaira Fahad were present.

It is a matter of great honour that entire supreme command of United business group (UBG), from chairman Mr. Iftikhar Ali Malik to patron in chief Mr. S. Munir, and chairman Punjab Mr. S. M. Naseer, personally took pains of travelling throughout the country to show solidarity with its candidates. From FPCCI Mr. Rehman Aziz Chan (Vice president Punjab) and Syed Asim Shah (vice president, also graced the event.

 All UBG members made speeches and admired the efforts of president WCCIM Mrs. Naseem Raheem and her team and a shield was presented to her chamber. The patron in chief WCCIM was bestowed upon the Gold medal for her contributions towards women empowerment. Ms. Samina Fazil and Ms. Tahira Naseem were also presented the same award by Mr. Iftikhar Ali Malik.
 Mr. Tanveer Sheikh from Multan was honoured with the most distinguished 'Shaheen award' for his services to the business community in Pakistan.
Mrs. Farrukh Mukhtar also addressed the gathering and thanked for the gold medal  their presence and support for Masooma Sibtain and expressed her desire of seeing women of South Punjab more socially and economically stronger and safer. She reiterated her commitment to the cause of women empowerment. Beautiful tokens from Multan on were a;so conferred all the guests by her. Masooma Sibtain, not only thanked UBG leaders, who had arrived from across the country but the hostess of the event, all the members of WCCIM and Multan chamber. She promised, she will remain loyal to the cause of uplift of women from South Punjab.

The most interesting speech was made by Mr. Faisal Mukhtar, when he was invited to speak at the end, he simply greeted the gathering, thanked them for being there and announced that the lunch was served and event ended at a jovial note. Everybody enjoyed the scrumptious food and the beautiful ambience of patron in chief's palatial residence.

Launch of WCCIM value added membership cards on women's day 2019

Group photo The new president of women's chamber Multan, WCCIM, Ms.  Seerat Fatima  passionately follows membership drive of   this platform for female entrepreneurs . Not only she wants an increase in the number of members, but is doing her best to add advantages to their membership scheme as well.  The day she took over as president, she proposed her idea of value added membership cards for WCCIM members, which would get them discounts at different places. Vice president  Novaira Fahad  went on to work hard to get famous restaurants,  parlors and grocery stores on the panel. Supported by the senior vice president  Uzma Burana  and others, now these membership cards are ready. Being a believer of women empowerement, there could not be a better day to launch this project, other than ' international women's day'. SPWCCI members together with guests from Peshawar    Women Business Development Center Peshawar (WBDCP), as part of its business development initiatives, organizes exposure visits to larger markets. The main purpose of these visits is to establish linkages of women entrepreneurs with stake holders from other markets including; local business people, skilled craftsmen, raw material suppliers, whole sellers and retailers. Women Business Development Center Peshawar in collaboration with Pakistan Transition Initiative  organized a two week Business Exposure Visit for twenty Women Entrepreneurs to four cities of Punjab including Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan & Bahawalpur for linkage meetings, capacity building and market exposure.
