Women's chamber of commerce and industry (WCCIM) is proud of its competent members and is truly proud of the fact, it provides its members platform, through which, they get  opportunities of being part of different prestigious training programs at national and international level.

WLTP; 'Women's leadership in Trade policy development program', was initiated
by USAID for women's chambers in January 2018. It started with rountable meetings in Lahore, Islamabad and Karachi. Its second phase occured in Serena, Islamabad in July. Third and final round took place in Pearl Continental Lahore.

Another matter of pride for WCCIM; four of its members became a part of it. Including the newly elected President Mrs. Filza Akbar, former president WCCIM+ Vice president FPCCI Masooma Sibtain, executive member Novaira Fahad and former executive member Fariha Munir Shah. It was a wonderful opportunity for learning and networking, as women business chambers from Peshawar, Islamabad, Rawalapindi, Lahore and Karachi were also present in this training program.

Not to miss that Ms. Masooma Sibtain, former president WCCIM+ Vice president FPCCI and life time spokesperson, was the only among participants, who was given an opportunity to address and share details on her most cherished work, WNBA (Women's business national agenda). Something that not only WCCI Multan is so proud of, but entire female community should be.

For previous rounds of trainings in Lahore and Islamabad, best trainers available at national level were acquired, but for the final two days (31st Oct- 1st Nov) Ms. Linda Schmid was invited from USA. This accomplished lady has an impressive number of appointments and publications to her credit. Her proficiency spoke during lecturing and interactions with pupils. She had a grip on her subject and was extremely clear in delivering the information. She turned out to be quite charming and friendly, yet very committed and practical.

U.S Consular General, Lahore, Ms. Elizabeth Trudeau also joined in, the opening ceremony and personally delivered the aims of objectives of this program and expressed how committed they were to the cause of women empowerment. She herself seemed to be a great example of it, as all the participants were thrilled to see a bright and beautiful woman at such a position of power.
Participants had a hearty conversation with her on different issues and admired efforts made by USAID.

In two days of trainings, participants learned about, Pakistan's position in world trading system, 'gender lens', 'trade and investment policy in light of gender', 'association of women in international trade, different issues and aspects of gender and trade policy. Assigning them break off exercices and short assignments, Ms. Linda kept the two days of learning interesting and engaging.

Although, women chambers were the focus, but few gentlemen were also part of the program, Mr. Aamir Bhandara reprepresented farmers community and rural women. Whereas, Dr. Shahid Meer from Karachi was invited for his contributions for enlightning and empowering women from Tharr. These gentlemen also added interesting perspective to the program.

President WCCI- Lahore, Ms. Falahat Imran, Ms. Shayaan Malik, Mehreen Illahi, Haleema, Silawat and Khalida from Karachi, Shanze from Gujranwala, Shamama Arbaab from Peshawar, Fatima Ali from Islamabad, were also among the attendees.
